Lost and Found – Artist Spotlight: Michel Aniol

Michel Aniol’s photographs from the series Japaner, Hund, Giraffe derive directly from his work on construction sites to make ends meet during corona (the title refers to names of construction tools). By producing tiny sculptures outside the ‘normal’ context of the studio within a few minutes with materials that he found on the spot, Aniol proves that the necessity for creation cannot be restrained, but- like life- finds ways to adapt and secure art’s eternal course. His works capture the instantaneous, moments of mingling material, thought and real life.
